11. Lift the light engine out of the projector, and place it onto an optical assembly base.
Do not touch the glass surface.
12. Remove the light engine.
13. To re-install, follow these steps in reverse order.
When replacing the light engine, align boresight (on page 16), adjust the fold mirror, and
adjust the integrator (on page 21).

Removing the contrast aperture assembly

Complete the following procedure to remove the contrast aperture assembly.
Estimated time to replace: 11 minutes.
1. Remove the top cover (on page 36).
2. Remove the lens side cover (on page 38).
3. Remove the lens side, top-side cover (on page 38).
4. Remove the nine screws from the panel driver cover.
5. Disconnect the P17 harnesses from the panel driver.
6. Release the harness from the four clamps.
7. Remove the screw securing the contrast aperture cover.
