LUBRICATION & COOLING

Oil Pump Inspection

Inspect the oil pump when lubrication oil pressure is below
specification. The oil pump contains (2) sets of gerotors.
Follow the inspection procedure for both sets of gerotors
and both ends of the pump.
Keep gerotors together as a set, and oriented the same
way (dots on each gerotor must be on the same side upon
assembly). The parts are not interchangeable.
If dots on the gerotors are not visible, mark the gerotors
upon disassembly so they can be matched and oriented
properly upon assembly.
Before disassembling pump completely, follow these
inspection steps, and compare to specifications on
page 4.3.
1. Remove the pump base (A) and lubrication side end
cap (B).
