3.2.1 Installing the tubing

To avoid back pressures:
Optimise the pressurizing and exhaust performance of the
•
valve terminal, such as through use of larger tubing dia-
meter or additional compressed air supply through pneu-
matic supply plates with exhaust through silencers or
exhaust plate.
Possibly separate exhaust ducts through use of pressure
•
zones (see Chapter 1.2.5).
If elbow connectors or multiple distributors are used, the air
flow will be reduced slightly.
Proceed as follows:
1. Push the tubing as far as possible into or over the tube
coupling of the threaded connector.
2. Depending on connection:
Pull any locking ring 1 over the tube coupling
–
(see Fig. 3/1).
Tighten the clamping screw 2 (see Fig. 3/1).

On the right end plate, size 2:
Mount the hoses first at port (1) and then at ports (3)
and (5).
Secure the hoses with a hose clamp 3.
3. For better system clarity, group the tubing together with:
– tubing straps or
– multiple hose holders
