position. When the valve is not switched, duct (1) of the valve
terminal is exhausted via the soft-start valve's exhaust outlet.
The switching point for full operating pressure is set to 4 bar
at the factory, but can be changed using an adjusting screw.
The piston position of the soft-start valve can optionally be
monitored by an inductive sensor (N/O contact). This sensor
registers whether the valve has switched and therefore
whether the valve terminal is being supplied with air. Due to
the required calibration, the later addition of the sensor by
the customer is not intended. A pressure gauge is optionally
available as a pressure indicator.
Note
– The VTSA valve terminal can be equipped with a
maximum of 5 soft-start valves.
– If a soft-start valve is used in the VTSA valve terminal,
no additional pressure-supplying components may be
used in the same pressure zone.
– Exhaust air cannot be expelled via the soft-start valve.
If a pressure zone is operated with a separate duct (1)
and 3/5 duct, an exhaust plate is required in this
pressure zone.
– Instructions for combining the soft-start valve, pneu-
matic supply plate and the right end plate can be found
in the VABV-S6-1Q-... assembly instructions.
Control block
The control block type
SN) is intended for two-channel control of pneumatic drive
components (e.g. double-acting linear cylinders) and can be
used for implementing the following protective measures:
Protection against unexpected starting up (EN 1037)
Reversing of dangerous movements if no further dangers
can occur through the reversing movements
