1.2.4 Pilot control

The pilot control of the solenoid coils is supplied with internal
or external pilot air. This pilot air is made available for the
entire valve terminal (also across pressure zones) through the
soft-start valve or the various right end plate variants. The
following applies:
– The valve terminal is always supplied with internal pilot
air through the soft-start valve
– Through the corresponding right end plate variants, you
can choose whether the valve terminal should be supplied
with internal or external pilot air.
There are two groups of end plates with the VTSA... valve
terminal.
– For end plates with axial supply connections, the pilot
variant is determined by the design.
– In the case of the selector end plate, the control type and
the type of removal of exhaust or breathable air (ducted
or non-ducted) can be selected.
You can ascertain the end plate with which your VTSA... valve
terminal is fitted by means of the following table. Conversion
between internal and external pilot air supply is described in
Chapter 5.4.2.
