5. Maintenance and conversion
5.4.3 Conversion of the VTSA... valve terminal to two or more pressure zones
(width 18 ... 52 mm)
5-20
Note
Mixed operation of the VTSA... valve terminal with an
internal and external pilot air supply is not intended.
Irrespective of the available pressure zones, all solenoid
coils of the valve terminal are supplied centrally with the
same pilot air supply.
Selector end plate type VABE...RZ-...B1
In the case of the VTSA... valve terminal with selector end
plate type VABE-...RZ-...B1 you can modify the type of pilot air
supply (internal or external) by changing the setting of the
code cover (see Tab. 3/2).
On the selector end plate you can also set whether the vent-
ing air (deviating from the ISO standard) is to be vented in a
common duct via port (12).
End plates with axial supply connections
Type VABE...R-... or VABE-...RZ-...
Replacing the end plates is described in Section 5.3.4.
The valve terminal can be equipped with 1 to 16 pressure
zones with the widths 18 mm and 26 mm, or with 1 to 32
pressure zones with widths 42 mm and 52 mm. These pressure
zones are created with special seal plates with duct separa-
tion. The following channels can be separated with the seal-
ing plates:
Supply duct (1) only
Supply duct (1) and exhaust ducts (3) and (5)
Exhaust ducts (3) and (5) only
