3.5.3 Operating the VTSA... valve terminal with reversible pressure
regulating valves
3-24
Right end plate type VABE-...-R-...:
Port (14) is sealed with a blanking plug at the factory.
The pilot air supply is branched internally from duct (1).
In order to guarantee the resetting of the reversible
2x3/2-way valves via the pneumatic spring, port (12)
must be supplied with operating pressure (see Appendix B
Tab. B/4 for the valve circuit diagrams).
Right end plate type VABE-...RZ-...:
The external pilot air must be supplied via ports (12) and
(14) with the same level of pressure.
Note
Operating the VTSA... valve terminal with reversible
pressure regulators (identifier R5-..., R6-..., R7-...):
– Reversible pressure regulators must not be used on
reversibly operated valve terminals.
– No 2x3/2-way valves with ident. code K, H and N
(non-reversible valves) and no 2/2-way valves with
ident. code VC and VV can be operated with these pres-
sure regulators. These valves require excess pressure in
duct (1) for the pneumatic springs.
– The combination of reversible 2x3/2-way valves
(ident. code P, Q and R) on reversible pressure regulators
(identifier R5) must not be operated in a separate
pressure zone. The reversible pressure regulating valves
supply pressure via duct (1) and vent the exhaust air via
ducts (3) and (5).
