Processor Unit
The following procedures for unpacking the basic
components should be
performed
sequentially.
1.
Unpack the box labeled Xerox
1186
Processor
Unit by tearing the perforations marked on the
box and lifting the top portion of the box off.
Fold down the styrofoam packing insert at the
front of
the
processor unit (Figure
2-1).

2. Face the front of the processor unit (look for the
Xerox label), and grip the processor by placing
your hand in the groove located under the front
cover of the processor.
3. Carefully slide the processor unit halfway off
the styrofoam.
4. Tilt the processor unit until the bottom of it
touches the floor.
