User parameter sets

The drive supports four user parameter sets that can be saved to the permanent
memory and recalled using drive parameters. It is also possible to use digital inputs to
switch between user parameter sets. To change a user parameter set, make sure the
drive is not modulating.
A user parameter set contains all editable values in parameter groups 10...99 except
the following:
• forced I/O values such as parameters
forced data
• I/O extension module settings (group 15)
• fieldbus communication settings (groups 50...53 and 58)
• parameter

As the motor settings are included in the user parameter sets, make sure the settings
correspond to the motor used in the application before recalling a user set. In an
application where different motors are used with the drive, perform the motor ID run
with each motor and the save the results in different user sets. The appropriate set
can then be recalled when the motor is switched on.

User lock

For better cyber security, it is highly recommended that you set a master pass code to
prevent changing of parameter values and/or the loading of firmware and other files.
WARNING! ABB will not be liable for damages or losses caused by the failure
to activate the user lock using a new pass code. See
(page 15).
To activate the user lock for the first time, enter the default pass code, 10000000, into
