Basic Authentication Setting
Basic authentication is provided to permit or prohibit access from anonymous users.
The use of basic authentication prohibits access from anonymous users.
1. Open the [Setup] window.
If basic authentication is not in use, pressing the [Setup] button calls up the dialog as shown in step
3 in "Access from the Computer" page 18-7. Enter the user name and the password as already
registered.
2. In the menu located to the left of the screen, click [Basic Configuration Instructions] → [Users].
3. If there is no check mark for the options under [User Settings], basic authentication is required for
the network camera.

When selecting the use of basic authentication, make the following settings in the V-SFT software:

as already registered. To see the registered user name and the password, refer to "User Name and
Password Check and Registration" page 18-12.
4. If basic authentication is not necessary, check [

* When operating the camera by the switch on the V8 series, check [
control login (no user name or password required)] and click the [Save] button for confirmation.
