Copy Mode (continued)
1s2 Copy Mode Using Platen Glass
When copying in 1s2 mode from the platen glass, use the Platen store mode. Refer to
p. 6-29 for details of the Store mode.
NOTE:
See p. 4-3 for the information on unsuitable RADF originals.
Basic Screen (with 1s2 mode and Store mode selected)
Procedure

Position Original ... FACE DOWN on Platen Glass
1 Open the document feeder.
2 Position original FACE DOWN on the platen glass, then
close the document feeder.
IMPORTANT: PLACE AND SCAN ORIGINALS IN
REGULAR ORDER OF PAGINATION.

Set Copying Conditions
1 Since the document feeder has been opened then closed, 2s s s s s 2 and 2s s s s s 1 copy mode
keys appear dimmed to show inactivity.
NOTE:
Do not press [AUTO RESET] at this point, otherwise the platen mode will be released to disable
the copier from scanning the original placed on the platen glass.
2 Touch 1s s s s s 2 to highlight it.
The STORE key will be automatically highlighted on the screen.
3 Select additional copying conditions, as desired.
Some touch keys will appear dimmed if they are incompatible with other selections
made.
