For optimum router performance, verify the condition of the Flexible PIC Concentrators
(FPCs) and compact FPCs (CFPCs). The router can have up to six FPCs, four of Type 1,
2, or 3, and two compact CFPCs, mounted vertically in the FPC card cage at the front of
the chassis, as shown in Figure 1 on page 7.
On a regular basis:
Check the LEDs on the craft interface directly above each FPC slot. The green LED
labeled
OK
lights steadily when an FPC is functioning normally. For more information,
see "FPC LEDs on the M120 Craft Interface" on page 27.
Issue the CLI
