check bâll (Figure 6C-31).

2. Remove choke housing assernbly from Iloat bowl by
removing retâining screw ând washer inside the choke
housing (Figure 6C-33). The complete choke assembly cân
be removed fron the float bowl by sliding outlvard

l. Remove thre€ âttaching screws and retâiners lrom
choke cover and coil assembly; then pull strâight outward
and remove cover ând coil âssembly fron choke housing.

3. Remove rear vacuum breâk rod from intermediate
choke lever (Figure 6C-34).
4- To disassemble int€rmediate choke shaft froû choke
housing, remove coil lever retaining screw at end of shâft
inside the choke housing (Figur€ 6C-33). Then renove
thermostatic coil lever from flâls on intermediâte choke
shâft. Remove intermediate choke shâ1t from lhe choke
housing by sliding outward. The fast idle caln cân û,rw be
removed from the interm€diâte choke shâft (Figure 6C-34).
NOTICE: Remove the cup soal from tho tloat
bowl insort for bowl cleaning purposos DO
NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE INSERI.
5. Remove iower choke lever from inside float bowl
cavity by inverting bowi.
13. Renove pump well fill slot bame only ifnecessary.
14. Remove rear vacuum break control and bracket
assembly by renoving (2) screlvs fron1 brâcket and rotaling
the âssembly io remove vacuùm break rod from slot in
plu.ger heâd (Figure 6C-32).
