Rear Bumper Assembly (Fig.2B-33)
Removal
1. Remove (a) nuts (iflside rlunk) and 2 screws
retaining cover bar moldings to quarter panel
2. Disconnecl wire\ to license plale lamp.
3. Raise vehicle.
4. Remove (4) nuts attaching bumper !o vehicle.
5. Lower vehicle.
6. Remove remaining (4) nùts attaching bumPer to
vehicle (inside trunk) ând remove bumper.
7, To remove cover, remove rivets attaching cover to
lnstallation
Reverse removal procedure to instâll bumper and refer
to lorque specificâlions at the r€âr of this section for proper
See Fig. 28-34 for corr€ct bumper alignnent.

Front Bumper Assembly (Fig.28-35)
Removal
L Support bumper assembly ând remove eight (8) nuts
(4 each side) connecting bumper reinforcem€nt to energy
absorber and remove bumper assembly,
2. To disâssemble bumper assembly proceed âs follows:
a. Remov€ nuts ând bolts attaching bumper
.einforcement assembly to bumper fâce bar and sepârâte
b. If equipped with protective strips (Fig. 28-36) or
bumpe! guards (Fig. 2ts'35) remove remainins bolts ând
nuts ând remove from face bar.
NOIlCE: The protective strips or bumper guards may
be removed without removing the bumper from the
vehicle.
3. Ifthe €nergy absorber is to be removed (Fig. 28-37)
proceed as follows:
a. Remove four (4) bolts connecting front of energy
âbsorber to energy âbsorber frame bracket.
b. Remove the nut connecting the rear of the energy
absorber to frame brâcket.
c. Slide energy absorber from frame bracket ând
