Installâlion
Reverse removal procedure to instâll bumper and refer
to torque specificarions at rhe rear ofthis section for proper
_ Impact strips and bumper cushions caû be insralled by
pushing retaining prongs through cùt-outs in the bumpers
and bumper guards.
See Figure 28- to for correcl bumper atignfrenr.
Removal " Wâgons (Figs. 2B-14 and 2B-1S)
l. Raise the vehicl€.
2. Removetwo (2) screws connecting license ptatelâmp
ass€mbly to buûper ând tap€ assembly awây from bumpei
to prev€nt damage or interfercnce wh€n removing bumper
3. Support bumper assembly ând remove nuts from
reinforcement to en€rgy absorber and remove bumper

4, To disassemble bumpet proceed as folows:
. ^a. Remove _ lower bolts attâching fâce bar to
remrorc€menl and separate,
b. If equipped wirh bumper guârds they now may oe
removed from the face bar.
5. Ifthe energy âbsorber is to be r€moved (Fig. 2B-14)
proceed as foliows:

a. R€move bolts connecting rear of energy absorber to
_ b. Remove bolt and r€rainer plate from fronr ofeneryy
absorber and remove from body.
Installation
