Replacement can be made by cutting the hos€ and inserting
a plastic connector. Ifan entire hose must be replâc€d, cut
all hoses off at the connector and then attach hoses directly
to the control head vâcuum switch.
Vâcuum diagrams are included with the eiectrical
diâgrâms rn rhe Dragnosi' porlion of rhis secrion.
WATER VALVÉ
Thewater valve is used on A and B Series Vehicles The
vâlve is threâd€d into the inlet manifold, in the heater core
inlet ljne. When vâcuum is âpplied to the valve (controls set
for A/C and COLD), the vâlve is closed, preventing coolant
flow tothe heatercore. With novâcuum appliedtothe vâlve
(temperature lever moved off COLD), th€ vâlve is open,
ailowing coolânt flow.
