housing, remove coil lever retaining screw ât end of shaft
inside the choke housing (Fig.6C2-30). Then remove
thermostatic coil lever from flats on intermediate choke
shaft. Remove intermediâte choke shaft from the choke
housing by sliding outward. The fast idle cam can now be
removed from the intermediate choke shaft.
NOTICE: Remove the cup seal from the iloat bowl
insert for bowl clۉning purposes. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO REMOVE INSERT.

1. Remove fuel inlet nut, gasket, ch€ck vâlve fiiter
assembly and spring.
2. Remove throttle body by removing throttle body to
bowl attâching screws.

2. Do not remove the plugs covering idle mixture
needles unless it is necessary to replace the mixture screws
ornormal soakingand air p.essure fâils to clean th€ mixture
passages.
NOTICE: Idle mixture should be adjusted only if
required at time of mâjor cârburetor overhâul, throttle
body replâcernent or high idle CO âs determined by
ollicial inspections.
Remove idle mixture ne€dl€ and plug as folloivs:
a. Invert throttl€ body ând piace on carburetor holding
fixture (mânjfold sid€ up).
b. Using a punch between the two locator points in
throttl€ body beneath idle mixture needle plug (manifold
