NOTICE: Do not remove power piston by using pliers
on metering rod hanger.
NOTICE: The A.P.T. m€tering rod adj shent screw
is pfe-set at the factory and no attempt should be rnâde
io change this adjustment in the fie1d. If float bowl
replacement is r€quired during service, the new bowi
assembly will be supplied with ân A.P.T. metering rod
scr€w which will b€ pre-set as required.
5. Remove meiering rods from power piston by
disconnecting tension spring from top of each rod. Then
rotâte rod to remove frorn hânger (Fig. 6C2-24).
NOTICE: Use câre when disâssembling rods to
prevent distortion of tension spring ând,/or meteriDg
rods. Note carefully position oftension spring for later

using Seat Remover (Fig. 6C2-25).
8. Remove aneroid cavity insert from noât bowl (Fis.
6C2-26).
9. Remove main metering jets, only if necessaiy (Fis.
6CZ-2'7).
10. Remove pump dischârge check bâll rctâiner ând
check bâll (Fig. 6C2-28).
11. Remove pump well fill slot bame.
Choke Disassembly
l- Remove three attâching screws ând retâiner from
choke cover and coil assembly. Then pull straight outward
ând remove cover ârd coil âssembly from chok€ housing.
2. Remove choke housing ass€mbly from float bowl by
removing retâining screw and washer inside the choke
housnrg (Fig. 6C2'29). The complete choke âssembly cân
be removed from the float bowl by sliding outward.
3. Remove lower choke lever from inside float bowl
cavity by inverting bowl.
4. To disass€mble intermediate choke shâft from choke
