viscosily oil.
New oil quantiti€s must be added to the systeû during
Service component replacement and conditions stâted as
follows:

. Compressor - R€mov€, drÂin oil, m€asure, replace
same amount of new oil plus 1 oz.
. Evâporâtor , Add 3 fiuid outrces.
a Condenser - Add I fluid ounce.
a Accumulâtor - Remove, drâin oil, measure, replace
safte amourt of new oil plus I oz, to comp€nsat€ for that
retained by the odginâl accumulator dessicant.

Rernove Comprcssor ÀND
Accumularor. DIâin,
measure and record TOTAL oil from both components.
Discard old oil.
Ifless than 6 ounces, add 6 ounces ofnew oil ro system.
If more ihân 6 ounces, add same âmount ofnew oii as
NOTICE: Ifa nerv Accumulâ.or mùst be add€d !o A-6
system, add I addilionâl ounce ofoil to compensâte for
that held,/absorb€d by the original accumulator
dessicânt.
R-4 Comprsssor Systems
Remove only the Accumulâtor. Drain, measure and
record quantity of oil in Accumulâtor. (It is not necessary
to remove and drâin the R-4 Compressor because the R-4
Compressor only retains a minimum quanrity of oil-it
doesn't have an oil sump âreâ.)
Ifless than 3 ounces, add 3 ounces ofnew oil to system.
If more than 3 oùnces, add same amount ofnew oil as
drain€d.
NOTICE: If a newAccumulator must beadded to R-4
system, add I additional ounce ofoil ro compensate for
that held,/absorbed by the original Accumulator
1, IF THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF EXCESSIVE OIL
LEAKAGE, add the following âmount ofoil depending on
componen! replaced:
For A-6 & R-4 Compressor Sysrems - Evaporaror - (3
fluid ounces).
For A-6 & R-4 Compressor Sysrems , Cond€nser - (1
fluid ounce).
