If caller A is an external subscriber or a virtual PISN subscriber, the settings authorising exchange-to-
exchange traffic (see "Call Diversion to Exchange", Page 2.309) will have to be observed. (If the connec-
tion is not authorized, the call is not forwarded.)
Note:
The internal number of a call distribution element is not possible as the destina-
tion for call forwarding.
Chain of forwarded calls:
• Internal: Call forwardings are not chained together locally. (The call is routed
to C but cannot be routed any further.)
• In the PISN: call forwarding chains within the PISN are possible if B and C are
connected to different PINXs.
Note
:
Call forwarding chains in the PISN result in long ringing times.
For the delay always to be active, "call forwarding immediate ring = No" must be
configured throughout the system.

Possible destinations:
• Subscribers: internal, external
• PS / coded ringing
• UG: 17 to 21 (Ascotel 2025 / 2045) or 25 to
29 (Ascotel 2065) (In this case the call for-
warding delay is always effective)
Requirement:
C is not protected against calls (Do not disturb,
*26) or call diversion (*02).
