Third-party CTI can be used in different ways depending on requirements:
• In the same way as first-party CTI
• As a team solution
• Per ACD
Third-Party CTI as First-Party CTI
In principle third-party CTI can be used in the same way as first-party CTI, i. e. the
PC is used to control only one's own terminal. A connection between phone and
PC via the Pocket Adapter is not required. The use of cordless terminals is also pos-
sible.
Third-Party CTI as a Team Solution
With this solution one's own terminal is controlled in the same way as with first-
party CTI. The status of the other subscribers in the team connected to the PBX
are indicated via a busy lamp field on the PC's monitor.
With a connection to the Ethernet interface all the terminals can be displayed via
the AD2, S and a/b interfaces using the telephony server.
