■Installation procedure using an SD memory card
The following shows a procedure to install the software by using an SD memory card.
Put the motion software package in the specified folder of the SD memory card.
When selecting files to be installed, create the motion software files to be installed with the engineering tool in advance.

21.2 Basic System Software Update Function
Start installation
Using a personal computer, store the
motion software file in the SD
memory card.
Insert the SD memory card in the
motion system SD memory card slot.
Turn ON the motion system power
supply while pressing the SD memory
card access control switch.
Release hands from the SD memory
card access control switch.
RUN LED is turned off, and PROGRAM
RUN LED and CARD READY LED are
turned on.
Turn OFF the motion system
power supply.

Create a "instnew" and "inst" folder in the SD memory
card root, and store the files inside this folder.
After CPU module power supply OFF→ON/system reset, the
system automatically starts software update mode. RUN LED
and PROGRAM RUN LED blink slowly during update.
Once update started, update is continued even if
hands are released from the switch.
RUN LED is turned off, and PROGRAM RUN LED and CARD
READY LED are turned on after completing the software
installation.
