ReMOvaBle HinGe pin

1.
Remove the door and hinge blocks
(See page 4-13).
2.
For hinges that accept the 6 or 8 millimeter
bolts, on all models prior to 2007, tap the
hinge pin with a hammer.
3.
Pull it the rest of the way out with a pair of
pliers.
4.
If the pin gets burred up during removal,
polish it or sand it smooth before
reassembly.
5.
Always grease the hinge pin in the areas
that will be inside the hinge blocks.
nOTe: MFR30 - 80 washers manufactured
after 2007 have 10 millimeter carriage bolts
with square holes in the door and the shims.
The hinge pins on all models manufactured
from 2007 on, are not removable. The
hinges with non-removable hinge pins are
backwards compatible with removable
hinge pin style hinges.
ReMOve FROnT panel
1.
Alternate procedure of front panel removal
for locations that will not allow the front
panel to be turned 90 degrees on models
with a removable hinge pin.
2.
Remove the door and hinge blocks
(See page 4-13).
3.
Remove the hinge pin (See left column).
4.
Raise the top of the washer (See page 4-2).
5.
Remove two 10mm bolts behind the control
panel. The bolts have a flat washer and a
star lock washer.
6.
Loosen completely, but not remove, the
four star head screws on the front panel.
Hinge Pin
There are spacers inside to keep the panel
from being crushed when the screws are
tightened.
7.
Pull the front panel straight away from the
washer.
