If there are lines forming in the display it is
most likely just the display that is failing and it
could be replaced with a spare display.
When the display is all scrambled it is possible
that the EPROM chip is failed and that the
control is not malfunctioning.
nOTe: A technician should have a spare chip
on his truck to use as a test chip and as an
emergency replacement part.
Install the EPROM making sure that the notch
at the edge of the EPROM is at the same
position as the notch in the socket.

After an EPROM chip is installed and the
power is restored, the display should be
lighting up. If the software is compatible
with the previous software version, the new
software can be used without re-initialization.
If the software is not 100% compatible with the
previous software version the new software
will generate a fault code 35. If fault code 35
occurs, reload the standard wash programs in
the "S" submenu
nOTe: All custom made settings will be
erased. After loading the standard wash
programs, erase error code 35 by switching
the power off and back on.
Many controls are damaged in the field due to
over-voltage supplied to the control. Supply
voltage should be checked anytime a control
board shows signs of a burnt area, especially
around the R1 connector and above the
transformer. MFR18 & 25 washers require
110-120VAC power be supplied to the washer.
Supplying 208-240VAC to these washer will
damage the control board.
