Loosen the hex bolts on the sleeve of the
removal tool and remove the wood block,
tool, and seal ring from the shaft.

Place the wood block under the shaft.

Clean the surface of the shaft with
a Scotch-Brite™ pad until it is free of
corrosion and grease, without reducing the
fitting dimension of the shaft.

Remove the M16 center bolt from the shaft
using a 24mm wrench.
29.
Apply a thin layer of Scotch-Clad™ 776 to
the entire seal ring and let it set.
30.
Apply a second layer before replacing the
seal ring onto the shaft.
31.
To re-seat the seal, slide the seal sleeve,
#518981, onto the shaft up to the seal ring.

Place the push bearing tool, #514691,
onto the threaded rod, #518910. Screw
the threaded rod into the center hole of the
shaft by hand until it is snug. Spin the nut on
the threaded rod until it contacts the push
bearing centered in the seal sleeve. It is
necessary to center shaft and seal sleeve
so that the seal ring can be pressed into
place without touching the flange of the
rear mounting plate. Stack wood blocks as
necessary.

Use the bar wrench, #514695, to turn the
nut on the threaded rod, which pushes the
push bearing and seal sleeve. This gently
pushes the seal ring back into place, do this
until it is just tight.
34.
Remove the tools from the shaft and
reinstall the wood block on the lower guide
rods, to support the shaft.
