28.
If it is not centered, begin tightening the
bolt directly behind narrowest gap. Move
to next lower bolt, and continue in that
direction around the tub ring. If starting
at the bottom bolt, go in either direction.
Continue to check the centering of the
basket and tightening the bolts around the
tub ring to keep the basket as centered
as possible during the entire process of
tightening the bolts. It will require more
than one round to get all the bolts around
the tub ring tight.

29.
Before tightening the anti-rotation bracket
bolt, make sure the marks made to identify
the top center bolt all line up from the tub
ring, to the back plate, to the tub. Once
the anti-rotation bracket is tightened the
relationship between the marks cannot be
changed.

30.
Tighten the bolts around the tub ring to a
final torque of 15 foot pounds. Make sure
to check the bolts again at the bottom after
finishing the bolts at the top.
31.
Final centering of the basket is determined
by feeling if the basket moves closer
to the tub in any position around the
drum. Adjusting the centering is done by
manipulating the spokes at the back of the
washer.
32.
At the back of the washer, locate the spoke
that matches the position of the widest gap.
Use the pry bar, #514760, between the
spoke and the trunnion to push the trunnion
in the opposite direction until the basket
opening comes in the center of the tub
opening. Check and adjust until the basket
is centered, then tighten the bolt securing
that spoke. Check the center again.
Loosen and readjust the trunnion, then
retighten the bolt to hold the adjustment.
Continue checking and adjusting until the
basket is as centered as possible as each
of the six bolts around the trunnion are
tightened. Final torque for the six hex bolts
is 37 foot pounds.
