TeCH Tip: If the inverter is showing a
code that indicates a problem on the output
side of the inverter, disconnect the wiring
completely from the motor power circuit side
of the inverter and run the washer as a test,
if the code is gone the problem could be in
the motor circuit. If the code continues to
show with the motor circuit disconnected
then the problem is likely with the inverter.
If there is a communication error, unplug
the communication wire and plug it back in
checking for corrosion or damaged wires.
1.
To clean the cooling fan, the inverter must
be removed (See page 7-7).
2.
Insert something between the blades while
blowing compressed air through them.
The blades must be stabilized so the
compressed air does not make them turn
too fast and damage the bearings.
3.
The fan blows over the cooling fins and it
is normal for dust and lint to build up in the
fins over time. If dust builds up, air does not
circulate as well. Clean any dust and lint off
the fins. The inverter must be removed to
clean it.
1.
Disconnect power from the washer.
2.
Remove the front panel and disconnect the
JP- 4 connector from the inverter
(See page 4-35).
3.
Reconnect the washer power cord to supply
voltage. Close the door and select a cycle.
The inverter will immediately execute a test
routine and the motor should run, rotating
the spinner at 50 rpm.
4.
If the motor runs and the spinner rotates at
the proper speed, the problem lies outside
of the motor and inverter circuit. Disconnect
power to the washer and reconnect the
JP- 4 connector to the inverter.
5.
If the motor does not run, make sure power
is supplied to the inverter. If correct, then
Inverter Fan
the problem lies with the motor and / or
inverter.
Ohm test motor wire harness
(See page 8-15).
Cooling Fins
Check for loose electrical connections at the
motor and inverter.
Check phase windings of the motor
(See page 7-8), if motor windings are good
replace the inverter.

Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
