TROuBleSHOOTinG BelT TenSiOn - MFR40 - 50

Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1.
Insufficient belt tension on drive MFR40/50
can be caused by one or more of the
following items:
Improper horizontal position of motor plate
shaft
Short action radius of the spring
Variations in belt length.

A replacement spring is available, part
#W10157981, to increase belt tension.

3.
Remove the belt and old spring.
Replacement Spring

4.
Loosen the clamp that secures the
overflow hose and remove it from the drain
connector.
5.
Mark the new connection location of the
new spring on the motor plate. Measure a
distance of 55mm (2.1") from back edge of
motor plate and 12mm (0.47") from the left
side and mark the plate for drilling.
