Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
Remove power from washer and wait 10
minutes before attempting any further steps.
Before working on an inverter, follow the
procedure for testing inverters
See page 7-7). This must be done anytime an
inverter or brake resistor is being worked on.
1.
Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale. Make
sure the ohmmeter measures zero when the
two ohmmeter leads are touched together, if
not, use fresh batteries in meter.
2.
Disconnect the Positive (+) and PR wires
from the inverter.
3.
Test between the two wires that were
disconnected, which should measure
approximately 200 ohms.

4.
Set the ohmmeter to at least a 200,000 ohm
scale.
5.
Measure between one of the wires and
chassis ground (any bare metal on the
washer). The reading should be an open
circuit (infinite Ω).
nOTe: If there is a reading of less than
100,000 ohms it indicates leakage in the body
of the brake resistor; replace the
brake resistor.
