Slide the guide rod through the bearing
and screw it into the center hole of the
shaft.

Insert the lever bar and tighten the guide
rod into the shaft.

Slide the basket into the outer tub.

Put the wood shim(s) back between the
outer tub and the spin basket to keep it
close to level.

Remove the bar set tool from the shaft.

Install the basket shaft centering extension
#518869 into the bearing housing.

Insert the threaded rod, #518911, with
the push bearing #514691, through the
centering extension and screw it into the
center of the spin basket shaft.

Use the bar wrench, #514695, to turn the
nut on the threaded rod and pull the basket
shaft back into and through the bearings.

After a couple of turns of the bar wrench,
remove the wood shim(s) between the outer
tub and the spin basket.

When fully seated, the shoulder on the
shaft should line up almost flush with the
inner race of the rear bearing. If there is
too much or not enough difference in the
placement, the seal will not be able to be
compressed properly. The difference should
be between 0.02 or .04 inch
(0.5 to 1mm).

Reinstall the steel spacer and brass spacer
onto the basket shaft.
62.
Add more grease as appropriate and
reinstall the rear cover.
