To remove the rear bearings, load the tool
#518878 with the sleeve #518896 and push
bushing #518905 or #518893. Insert the
tool through the front bearing. Insert the
bearing cup #518904 or #518902 with cup
side toward bearing, the push bearing and
cog nut. Use the two lever bars #514759
and turn the cog nut until the bearings have
been pushed into the bearing cup.

To remove the front bearings, load the tool
#518878 with the sleeve #518896 and push
bushing #518893 or #518894. Insert the
tool through the rear of the bearing housing.
Insert the bearing cup #518892 or #518903
with the cup side toward bearing, the push
bearing and cog nut. Use the two lever bars
#514759 and turn the cog nut until bearings
have been pushed into bearing cup.

Clean any debris or corrosion out of the
corner between the bearing seat and the
shoulder with a flat blade screwdriver.
Clean the groove for the retaining ring
with a flat blade screwdriver. Clean the
bearing seats in the bearing housing with
Scotch-Brite™ to remove any dirt, residue
and Loctite®. Make sure not to remove
any bearing housing material which could
change the fitting dimension. If the bearing
seats are corroded it will be necessary to
replace the bearing housing.

If there is no ventilation hole at the top
of the bearing housing, opposite the drain
hole, drill two 10mm holes, side by side,
.3 inch from the flange as shown. Make
sure to clean out any drill particles after
drilling.
