Turn the pushing bolt until the trunnion is
about flush with the end of the shaft.

Mark the top of the housing with tape,
or similar marking, for proper orientation
during reassembly.

Remove one of the lower guide rods in
order to place the wood block, #518917,
under the shaft. Reinstall the removed
guide rod to support the wood block. The
block needs to rest on the two bottom guide
rods to support the shaft, centering and
stabilizing the shaft.
19.
Slide the trunnion off the rest of the way
by hand. Be prepared since this trunnion
weighs approximately 50 pounds.

To remove the seal ring, remove the wood
block and place the seal ring removal tool,
#518970, onto the shaft, while centering the
pushing bolt in center of M16 center bolt.

Put the wood block back on the two lower
guide rods to support the shaft.

Slide the tool toward the drum so that it
slides into the flange of the rear mounting
plate of the drum and catches on the lip of
the seal.
23.
Slide the sleeve of the tool close to the end
of the tool. Use a hex key to tighten the hex
screws of the sleeve which will tighten the
tool onto the seal ring.
24.
Use a lever bar to turn the bolt of the
removal tool and pull the seal ring off.
