Inspect the bearing housing for any dirt,
grease and debris on the bearing seats,
bearing stop and snap ring. Clean the
surfaces with a Scotch-Brite™ pad to
remove dirt. Avoid removing any material
that would change the dimension of the
surfaces. Do not use a degreaser to clean
a bearing or the bearing housing, because
degreaser can degrade lubricant if it gets
into the bearings. Remove any grease and
dirt with a clean dry rag.
