Ethernet interfaces

There are three Ethernet network interfaces on a CP PM card: HSP, TLAN and ELAN. The
network interfaces are application specific.
Important:
If your cabinet or chassis does not require specific Nortel supplied cables for CP PM cards,
you must use shielded twisted pair Ethernet cables for CP PM faceplate ELAN and TLAN
connections.
ELAN
The ELAN network interface is a 10/100 BaseT port. By default this port is set to autonegotiate.
This network interface is used for both Call Server and Signaling Server applications.

Note:
If the module pins do not make proper contact with the slot pins, the system may
not recognize the presence of the module.
