Introduction
The NT8D15 E and M Trunk card interfaces four analog telephone trunks to the switch. Each
trunk interface connects to a trunk facility using tip and ring leads that carry voice, ringing, and
tone signaling, and to signaling interfaces by E and M leads. Each unit can be configured
independently by software control in the Trunk Data Block (or Trunk Administration) program
LD 14.
You can install this card in any IPE slot.
Note:
Up to four analog trunk cards are supported in each Media Gateway and Media Gateway
Expansion.
The NT8D15 E and M Trunk card supports the following types of trunks:
• 2-wire E and M Type I signaling trunks
• two-wire dial repeating trunks
