Idler Gear Assembly
1. Disassemble in the order shown in the figure, referring to Disassembly Note.
2. inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.

Inspect gear teeth for wear and cracks

Bearing inner race (Idler gear side)
1. Fit a punch through a hole in the idler gear and tap off the
bearing inner race.
Bearing inner race (Joint sleeve side)
Caution
l
Hold the shaft with one hand so that it does not fall.
1. Remove the bearing inner race with the SST.
