9.2 Running the SELF TEST

Your plotter is provided with a self-test function that enables it to plot a pattern and
check its own functions.
CAUTION: The pen carriage starts moving as soon as the CONDITION PRINT function is

selected. Do not place your hands or other objects on any moving parts.

ROCEDURE
Load paper larger than either ISO (A4) or letter size (8" x 11") in the plotter,
and mount a plotting pen.
Press the MENU key.
Press the NEXT key until the following menu appears.
Press the F4 key (OPTION 2). The following menu appears.
Press the F4 key (TEST). The following menu appears.
Press the F3 key (SELF TEST). The following menu appears.
If a pen has not been mounted, mount a pen and then specify the conditions
for that pen. Press the F3 key to select DONE and start plotting the SELF
TEST pattern. If you do not wish to plot the SELF TEST pattern, press the F4
key.
The plotter continues plotting the SELF TEST pattern until the power is
switched off. Turn off the power to exit the SELF TEST mode.
