If media has already been loaded, the following menu appears.
Rear Loading
ROLL 1 REAR SET>
ROLL 2 REAR SET>
After the Ready status is displayed, raise the media set lever to secure the
loaded media. The following menu appears.
Rear Loading
ROLL 1 REAR SET>
ROLL 2 REAR SET>
CONTINUE>
The loading method screen (Rear or Front) that is first displayed is the screen
that was last used.
Select the media type to suit the media used. See Section 3.5, "Loading
Media" for instructions on how to load media.
When to select ROLL 1 REAR SET or ROLL 1 FRONT SET
Select ROLL-1 to begin cutting or plotting from the leading edge. ROLL-1
detects the width and leading edge of roll media. Press the F1 key to select
ROLL-1 REAR SET or ROLL 1 FRONT SET.
When to select ROLL 2 REAR SET or ROLL 2 FRONT SET
Select ROLL-2 to begin cutting or plotting at a point beyond the leading edge.
ROLL-2 detects only the width of roll media. Press the F2 key to select ROLL-
2 REAR SET or ROLL 2 FRONT SET.
When to select SHEET
Select SHEET when a cut sheet has been loaded in the plotter. SHEET detects
the leading edge, the trailing edge, and the width of the sheet. Press the F3
key to select SHEET.
When to select CONTINUE
The CONTINUE function enables the continued use of the plotting area, pen
position and origin position that were specified before the media set lever was
lowered. If the current media is the same size as the last media that was
loaded, the plotter does not detect the media's edges.
After selecting the media type, specify the blade/pen type and the cutting/plot-
ting conditions for the selected media type, and then perform cutting or plot-
ting.
