6.30 Setting the DISTANCE ADJUST Function

This function corrects any deviation in the length of cut or plotted line segments,
which occurs depending on the media being used. The adjustment value for the
deviation is specified as a percentage of the total distance. For example, a setting
of 0.05% adjusts a distance of 2 m (2,000 mm) by +1 mm (2000 x 0.05% = 1 mm),
to become 2,001 mm. The DISTANCE ADJUST function can be specified
individually for each of the cutter-pen condition setting areas.

ROCEDURE
Press the MENU key.
Press the NEXT key until the following menu appears.
Press the F4 key (OPTION 2). The following menu appears.
Note: PEN OFFSET ADJ. is only displayed for 2-pen models.
Press the F3 key (DISTANCE ADJUST). The following menu appears.
The numbers at the right of CONDITION are the condition setting numbers 1 to
8. Use the (
) POSITION keys to move the cursor to the number that you
wish to change the setting for. Use the (
ENABLE or DISABLE for each number. A
when ENABLE has been selected for that number, and tangential control will
be performed for each of the specified condition numbers.
Press the ENTER key to register your setting. If you wish to cancel your
selection, press the NEXT key.
This setting is retained in the plotter's internal memory even when the power is
turned off.
