Cross-cutting is performed manually. The cutting position in the media feed
direction is from the position where the media is currently loaded.

• When front loading has been selected, commands cannot be used to perform
cross-cutting.
• Cross-cutting cannot be performed for media for which SHEET has been
specified.
If you wish to perform cutting at another position, use the (

Press the MENU key.
Press the NEXT key until the following menu appears.
Note: ASSIGN PEN is only displayed for 2-pen models.
Press the F3 key (CROSS CUT). The following menu appears.
Press the F3 key (CUT) to start the cross-cutting operation. If the media is not
cut across completely, the cutting operation is repeated automatically. If the F4
key (CANCEL) is pressed, cross-cutting is not performed and the display
returns to the one shown in Step 2.
• If the media that has been cross-cut is resting on the media sensor, the plotter
will judge that it hasn't been cut and the cross-cut operation will be repeated.
To prevent this happening, always remove media that has been cross-cut from
the plotter.
• The pinch roller sensors are used for the cross-cutting operation. If "Disabled"
has been selected for the pinch roller sensor parameter in the background
settings, the cross-cutting function cannot be used.
• Cross-cutting cannot be performed for media for which SHEET has been
specified.
