6.11 Auto Registration Mark Reading Function

The plotter uses a sensor to read the registration mark (reference lines) printed on
the media, and then adjusts the axes to match the coordinate data so that cutting
can be performed on pre-printed media without any shift between the print and cut
data.

* Accuracy when using pens provided with the plotter, high-grade media,
When using Auto Registration Mark recognition, pay attention to the following
points:

• The registration mark pattern

• The reading area required for registration mark detection
• The registration mark locations
• The position of the origin point
• Media on which registration marks cannot be detected
The registration mark pattern
The plotter can read (recognize) the following registration-mark patterns.
CAUTION:• Application marks used in the application software cannot be used.

and reading one of the specified patterns.
The registration mark reading sensor is located on the underside of the pen carriage.

6.14, "Selecting the Registration MARK TYPE".
• Registration marks must be created as data in the software,
• The following points must be noted when creating registration marks.
- Registration mark line thickness: 0.3 to 1.0 mm
- Registration mark size: 5 to 20 mm (see Section 6.14, "Selecting the Regis-
tration MARK TYPE").
