If you decide to disconnect clustering, you must reset the service processor using the pinhole reset
switch before running another application. The service processor pinhole reset switch is located on the

operator panel.

2. If you are using both serial port S2 (for example, to support the call home function) and serial port S3
(for clustering) and you require an uninterruptible power supply as well, you must order the
uninterruptible power supply with an Ethernet adapter and connect it to the Service/Management LAN.

Power supply

There are two power supplies per system; the second power supply is used for redundant power.

– 120 - 127 V AC 12 A
– 200 - 240 V AC 6 A
v Single phase
v Frequency = 47 Hz - 63 Hz
v Total output power of each power supply is 670 watts.

The following figure shows the operator panel.

Hardware security features

On the NAS Gateway 500, you can set the following types of service processor passwords to limit access
to these systems:
v General-access password - set only from the service processor menus. It provides limited access to the
service processor menus and is usually available to all users who are allowed to power on the system.
v Privileged-access password - Set from the service processor menus or from System Management
Services (SMS) menus. Used by the system administrator or root user and allows access to all service
processor functions.
