1E-6 Engine Lubrication System:
• Install the oil pressure regulator (1) and oil strainer (2).
NOTE
When installing the oil strainer, fit the
concave part "A" of the oil strainer onto the
convex part "B" of the crankcase.

• Apply SUZUKI BOND to the mating surface of the oil
pan.
NOTE
Use of SUZUKI BOND is as follows:
• Make surfaces free from moisture, oil, dust
and other foreign materials.
• Spread the sealant on surfaces thinly to
from an even layer, and assemble the oil
pan within a few minutes.
• Apply to distorted surfaces as it forms a
comparatively thick film.
: Sealant 99000–31110 (SUZUKI BOND
No.1215 or equivalent)

• Tighten the oil pan bolts diagonally.
NOTE
Fit a new gasket washer to the oil pan bolt (3).
CAUTION
!
Use a new gasket washer to prevent oil
leakage.

• After installing the removed parts, pour engine oil and
engine coolant. Refer to "Engine Oil and Filter
Replacement in Section 0B (Page 0B-10)" and
"Cooling System Inspection in Section 0B (Page 0B-
12)".

Oil Pressure Regulator / Oil Strainer Inspection

Refer to "Oil Pan / Oil Strainer / Oil Pressure Regulator
Removal and Installation (Page 1E-4)".
Oil pressure regulator
Inspect the operation of the oil pressure regulator by
pushing on the piston with a proper bar.
If the piston does not operate, replace the oil pressure
regulator with a new one.
