Troubleshooting
CAUTION
!
When using the multi-circuit tester, do not strongly touch the terminal of the ECM coupler with a
needle pointed tester probe to prevent the terminal damage or terminal bend.
NOTE
• After repairing the trouble, clear the DTC using SDS tool. Refer to "Use of SDS Diagnosis Reset
Procedures (Page1A-15)".
• Refer to "ECT Sensor Inspection in Section 1C (Page1C-3)"
Step
1
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Remove the air cleaner box. Refer to "Air Cleaner Box
Removal and Installation in Section 1D (Page1D-9)".
3) Connect the couplers disconnected in the air cleaner
box removal.
4) Check the ECT sensor coupler (1) for loose or poor
contacts. If OK, then measure the ECT sensor voltage at
the wire side coupler.
5) Disconnect the ECT coupler and turn the ignition switch
ON.
6) Measure the voltage between Dg wire terminal and
ground.
