Troubleshooting
CAUTION
!
When using the multi-circuit tester, do not strongly touch the terminal of the ECM coupler with a
needle pointed tester probe to prevent the terminal damage or terminal bend.
NOTE
After repairing the trouble, clear the DTC using SDS tool. Refer to "Use of SDS Diagnosis Reset
Procedures (Page1A-15)".
Step
1
1) Remove the helmet box front cover and frame front
cover. (Refer to "Helmet Box Front Cover Removal and
Installation in Section 9D (Page9D-16)" and "Front
Frame Cover Removal and Installation in Section 9D
(Page9D-17)".)
2) Check the STVA lead wire coupler (1) for loose or poor
contacts.
3) Remove the air cleaner outlet tube (2).
4) Turn the ignition switch ON to check the STV operation.
(STV operating order: Full open → 95% open)
