COMMENTS
If training with a particular remote terminal always
takes too long, the initial modem rate may be too
high. Reduce the initial Tx modem rate using these
bits.
For the settings 14.4 or kbps slower, Switch 04 bit 4
must be changed to 0.
Note: Do not use settings other than listed on the
left. If the setting is "Disabled", the bit switch setting
is used.
Do not change the settings.
COMMENTS
The machine uses inch-based resolutions for
scanning. If "inch only" is selected, the printed copy
may be slightly distorted at the other end if that
machine uses mm-based resolutions.
If the setting is "Disabled", the bit switch setting is
used.
(0, 1): Use this setting if echoes on the line are
interfering with the set-up protocol at the start of
transmission. The machine will then wait for the
second DIS or NSF before sending DCS or NSS.
If the setting is "Disabled", the bit switch setting is
used.
If transmissions to a specific destination always end
at a lower modem rate (14,400 bps or lower),
disable V.8 protocol so as not to use V.34 protocol.
0: V.34 communication will not be possible.
If the setting is "Disabled", the bit switch setting is
used.
