7.1 Overview
You can configure the source IP address for Telnet service packets for an S5600 switch
operating as a Telnet client. The IP address can only be the IP address of a Layer 3
interface on the switch.

As shown in
in the segment 192.168.1.0/24 are not allowed to telnet to Switch B, you can log in to
Switch A (an S5600 Ethernet switch) first, configure the source IP address of the Telnet
service packets on Switch A as 192.168.2.5, and then log in to Switch B through Switch
A.
7.2 Configuring Source IP Address for Telnet Service
Packets
The feature of configuring source IP address for Telnet service packets can be
configured in either user view or system view.
The configuration performed in user view takes effect for only the current session
The configuration performed in system view takes effect for all the following sessions.
That is, when a switch telnets to a remote device, it automatically uses the configured
source IP address or source interface to encapsulate Telnet service packets.
Use the following commands to configure a source IP address or source interface for
Telnet service packets:
