4) If the cost of a received RIP route is equal to 16, the cost specified by the apply
cost command in a routing policy will not be applied to the route, that is, the cost
of the route is equal to 16.
5) Using the filter-policy command does not filter redistributed routes.

6.9 Troubleshooting IP Routing Policy

I. Symptom
The routing policy cannot filter routing information correctly when the routing protocol
runs normally.
II. Analysis
The routing policy cannot filter routing information correctly in the following two cases:
All nodes in the routing policy are in the deny mode.
All entries in the IP-prefix list are in the deny mode.
III. Solution
1) Use the display ip ip-prefix command to display the configuration of the
IP-prefix list.
2) Use the display route-policy command to display the configuration of the
routing policy.
