7.3 ACL
Use the
ACL
sub-menu to configure the static ACL, get an overview of the status of all ACLs used across the device and configure rate limiters.
ACLs are used to select traffic to be analyzed, forwarded, or influenced in some way. an ACL consists of one or more ACEs (ACL Entries). An ACE
can match ports and policies. If an ACE is configured to match one or more policies, a single ACE can match any ports that are configured with a
matching policy number. This means an ACE can be written once and used in more than one policy; and a policy can be defined once and used on
many ports.

7.3.1 Ports

Use the
Ports
sub-menu to apply a policy and default ACL actions to each port. Default ACL actions affect frames received on a port unless the
frame matches a specific ACE.
To configure ACL port actions and policies:
1. Click
Configuration
>
2. Configure the parameters for one or more ports.
3. Click Save.
Parameter description
Port:
This field shows the port number for this row.
Policy ID:
Use this field to configure the policy to apply to this port. The allowed values are 0 through 255. The default value is 0 which means no pol-
icy is applied.
Action:
Use this drop-down box to
