6.
Reset the SELECTIVITY CONTROL to
" 316Hz"
and repeat the procedure for the
"
316Hz" bandwidth. As the "1000Hz" and "316Hz" level adjustments are interde-
pendent, the "1000Hz" level adjustment must be repeated from item 4. The cycle
is repeated until both levels are correctly adjusted.
7.
Repeat procedure for the remaining bandwidths in the order "100Hz", "3,
16Hz",
"10Hz", "31 , 6Hz". The adjustment of these bandwidths is not dependent on any
of the others, and therefore it is necessary to adjust the level once only. The SELEC-
TIVITY CONTROL must be switched to the appropriate bandwidth each time
.
3.1.7. Polarization Voltage
Most of the
8 &
K condenser microphones are designed to operate with a 200 V polariza-
tion voltage. This polarization voltage is provided at the PREAMP. INPUT socket of the
2010. The voltage is correctly set prior to dispatch from the factory and adjustment will
be required only very infrequently
.
Terminals are provided on the rear panel for checking
this voltage.
The voltage should be measured with a DC voltmeter with a resistance of at least
20 KO
/
V. If necessary, adjustment is carried out using the potentiometer on circuit

situated in the lower half of the instrument. Access to the pot-
entiometer is gained by removing the instrument case.
